Lezlie introduced the magic of the glass bead to her work several years ago after years of admiring and studying the ancient art of lampworking. She was fascinated by lampworking’s ability to add light to darkness and allow an artist to create miniature worlds, frozen in time.

Lezlie replaced the oil lamp with a propane torch, and soon became an expert at transforming liquefied glass to fantasy worlds of colour, meaning, and sometimes humour – a world that always tells a story, inside a solid bead.
